What is Qynetic Tool Manager and what is predictive tool management?
Tool Manager tracks tool identity, position, usage, offsets and wear. The goal is to estimate remaining useful life from actual process behaviour rather than static part counters.
Status: planned. Qynetic is in early development. This page describes the intended design; capabilities marked as planned are not yet generally available.
What problem does it address?
Fixed tool-life counters replace tools too early or too late. Both cost money: scrap or unplanned stops on one side, wasted tool life on the other.
How does it work?
- Tool usage and offset history are linked to measured dimensional drift.
- Remaining life is estimated from process behaviour and compared with counters.
- Replacement can be suggested for a planned changeover instead of an extra stop.
What does it connect to?
Presetters, CNC tool tables, Measurement systems. Connections are made through vendor-neutral connectors; see integrations.
